ReadyTalk User Experience Designers are responsible for the user experience vision and design from project inception to delivery. It is a demanding and rewarding role. We work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, product strategists, engineering and users to ensure we build products that meet our users’ needs, add value to our business and are technically feasible. The ultimate ReadyTalk User Experience Designer is creative, has a passion for good design, can quickly respond to new information and excels at communicating with a variety of people.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years experience in a User Experience Designer or equivalent role at a software development company
  • Mastery of user centered design principles and practices
  • Ability to balance user needs, technology constraints and business goals to create a useful, usable and desirable product
  • Excellent interaction and user interface design skills, including creating wireframes, mockups and high-fidelity prototypes in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of product quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience identifying and conducting the appropriate user research throughout a project
  • Experience designing applications across mobile, web and desktop platforms; responsive design experience is a plus
  • Experience with workflow analysis and application of best practices
  • Outstanding visual design skills with demonstrated ability to solve complex user problems with a beautifully intuitive interface
  • Strong CSS and HTML skills; Javascript experience is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in an iterative, collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to present design concepts to all levels in the organization and negotiate sometimes difficult decisions with poise
  • Experience with Lean and Agile software development practices a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design and user experience vision from project inception to delivery
  • Facilitate collaborative design meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Create design artifacts to capture design decisions
  • Define approach to getting user feedback throughout a project
  • Collect user feedback throughout a project (could include usability testing, user interviews, kano analysis and surveys)
  • Analyze and share user feedback with business stakeholders and others throughout the organization
  • Provide development team with design specifications to facilitate implementation of a project
  • Provide development team with visual assets that are needed for implementation
  • Design and analyze usage metrics to inform product design decisions
  • Support Marketing department on an as-needed basis:
  • Create a common visual language between marketing materials and software products
  • Support website design, especially as it relates to our product line
  • Create digital design assets
