Marketing Coordinator

Meet Kelly Valdes, Marketing Coordinator

Kelly is the marketing coordinator, acting as the jack of all trades but master of none quite yet. She is focused on lead-generation webinars, content syndication and social media outlets with high hopes of mastering something in her role. Prior to ReadyTalk, Kelly worked with the Denver Outlaws, Colorado’s professional outdoor lacrosse team. Her marketing role included event promotion, attaining sponsorships, sports writing and ultimately being the number one fan. Outside the office, Kelly is most likely at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, watching ESPN, laying by the pool or attempting... read more

Virtual Meetings - Leading the Green Business Movement

In today’s increasingly global business atmosphere, leaders are spending more time than ever collaborating and innovating across continents. This often requires travel to get key decision makers in front of each other. At the same time, there is a green business movement to reduce the carbon footprint in an effort to preserve natural resources and the earth for future generations. Until the emergence of web conferencing services, these two factors worked against each other. Web Conferencing... Read More » » read more

Web Conferencing Services Make Collaboration Easy

Meetings are meant to be opportunities for people to come together and work collaboratively, but they aren’t always so productive. This is often due to a lack of accessibility, communication, engagement or all of the above. Web conferencing services are the ideal solution to these issues. Here are a few reasons why: Everyone Can Join Virtual workforces are all well and good, but it's hard to get a team together in one meeting room if that team includes remote workers who live on the other side of... Webinar Mistakes that Will Haunt You

The month of October leading up to Halloween is scary enough for me, the last thing I need is to be haunted by  ghosts of webinar mistakes. Here are a few  things to avoid. Should you happen to make these mistakes, I've included the witches brew remedy to cure you. Some of these are my own "worst practices" and others are remedies I learned from communications expert Sharon Burton’s  webinar called, “Getting the Response you Want: Promoting your Webinar.”  DO NOT promote your webinar with a... What Football and Webinars Have in Common

Your webinar speakers are set, playbooks studied, twitter promotions sent, you’ve practiced until perfect, attendees have been reminded of the webinar time. And now, it’s game time! Even if you routinely conduct webinars, a pre-event checklist is extremely helpful and almost essential. Since many people are not list makers, I’ve created a diagram comparing getting ready for a webinar to getting ready for a football game to help you remember the small, yet important details prior to your web... Climbing with ReadyTalk

When Outside Magazine votes you the best place to work in the country and your CEO is the World's Fittest CEO, you likely work with a group of people that don't spend a lot of time on the couch. Kelly shares an example of a group of ReadyTalk employees recently spent a Saturday. I owe a huge thank you to my fellow ReadyTalk marketing team members Mike McKinnon and Simone Nabers for making ReadyTalk’s 3rd Annual Climbing Day a huge success. ReadyTalk families and rock climbers of all ages and... Read More » » read more

From Tailgating to Tradeshowing

Last Thursday, I attended my first tradeshow with ReadyTalk at Mile High Statio, a venue located next to Sports Authority Field at Mile High that is normally known as a pre-game tailgating spot. Arriving early in the morning dressed in business clothing, I experienced a different vibe than tailgating before a Broncos’ game. Not to worry, I brought my favorite Broncos water bottle to compensate. “From Surviving to Thriving: Mastering Technology in your Marketing World” was the title of the BMA... Read More » » read more

Spicegirl Heating it Up with Spiceworks

Recently, ReadyTalk signed up for Spiceworks – and no, this is not a habanero pepper eating competition! Spiceworks is essentially a social network for the information technology professional world. Think Facebook, but it revolves around the IT industry. Spiceworks is made up of over two million users called “Spiceheads” who utilize the platform to chat about the latest and greatest software, product reviews, ratings, how-tos as well as random off-topic subjects. Personally, I refer to myself as...Read More » » read more
