Video Conferencing Frequently Asked Questions

  • Question: How much does ReadyTalk video conferencing cost?
  • Answer: Video conferencing is included with all ReadyTalk web conferencing subscriptions at no extra charge.
  • Question: How many webcams can be shared during a ReadyTalk video conference?
  • Answer: Chairpersons, co-presenters and participants are able to share their webcam. Four webcams can be shared simultaneously. As many as 25 participants are able to view shared webcams.
  • Question: If there are more than 4 people in a meeting and all the webcam slots are full, how can someone else share their webcam?
  • Answer: Chairpersons and co-presenters have the ability to end the webcam feed of anyone else in conference to free up a slot for another participant. Participants can also end their own webcam feed at any time.
  • Question: How do I select my webcam to share in the video conference?
  • Answer: Simply click the “Share My Webcam” button at the top of video conferencing panel and follow the adobe flash prompts when they are presented. If you would like to switch your webcam simply click the down arrow next to the “Share/Stop My Webcam” button, click “Select Webcam” and choose the desired webcam from the list.
  • Question: Can I position the webcams so they are always on top of my other content?
  • Answer: Yes, as a chairperson or co-presenter simply click the down arrow next to “Share/Stop My Webcam” and select “Always On Top”.
  • Question: What kind of webcam do I need in order to be able to use the video conferencing feature?
  • Answer: Most integrated webcams or external USB webcams are supported. We recommend Logitech external USB webcams for a favorable video conferencing experience.
  • Question: Can I record the webcams during a video conference?
  • Answer: Recording content shared during a web conference or audio conference is supported. Currently, video conference feeds are not recorded.
