ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook Now Syncs with Salesforce

Our customers use several tools throughout their day to make their jobs easier and more efficient. Many of our users utilize Microsoft Outlook to keep track of their calendar and schedule meetings with colleagues, sales prospects, or current customers.   More often than not, that meeting data is not confined to Outlook, especially for a salesperson. The data needs to be updated in their CRM, like salesforce.com, to keep track of tasks and activity associated with a lead.

The ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook makes it easy to send out an invitation with all the information a participant needs to join your meeting, including a link that enables the audio conference to call them directly.  While it’s easy for the organizer to include all of this information with just a few clicks, it’s still a very manual task to update demo or meeting information in salesforce.com.  Until now.

The latest update to the ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook automatically passes the meeting details, including registration and attendance data, into salesforce.com with just a few clicks. And even better, the invitation still includes all of the information a participant needs to join the meeting, including the ‘Call my Phone’ link, while automating the transfer of meeting information into salesforce.com.

Here’s how it works:

  • In your settings, make sure your default meeting type is set to ‘Scheduled’

Default Setting: Scheduled Meetings

  • Send the invitation for your online meeting with the ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook

Schedule the Meeting

  • Using the ReadyTalk for Salesforce integration, import the meeting (or import multiple meetings at one time) to sync registration and attendance data

Import Meeting into Salesforce

Boom. Done. Move on to the next task as hand.

Oh, and one more thing. ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook now supports Microsoft Outlook 2013. Download the latest install today!

Join our Webinar for Another Look at the ExactTarget/ReadyTalk Integration

In mid-July, ReadyTalk launched an integration with ExactTarget, which is free and available now in the HubExchange App Marketplace. Essentially, our app creates emails and landing pages in ExactTarget with all of the details for your upcoming webinar included. In addition, ReadyTalk and ExactTarget automatically sync registration and attendance data so that confirmation, reminder, and follow-up emails can be sent out of ExactTarget.

During the ExactTarget Connections conference in September, ReadyTalk offered a demo of our integration as part of the App Theater sessions. Since many attendees were unable to attend App Theater due to other commitments, or couldn't make the trip to Indianapolis for the event, we wanted to give ExactTarget customers the opportunity to check out ReadyTalk's app.

To learn more about the ReadyTalk for ExactTarget app, join our upcoming 30-minute webinar on Tuesday, November 5 at 1pm EDT. Register now.

Meetings can be stressful…finding a date and time for the masses of you must include, creating an agenda to ensure the time is productive and well-spent, and following up on next steps to keep the project at hand moving. You don’t want to pile on additional work for yourself (or for those you've invited) by trying to remember what audio and web information you should include for those joining remotely.

ReadyTalk has this for covered for Microsoft Outlook users, and starting today, we are providing some love for Google Calendar users as well. With our Google Calendar Gadget, you can:

  • Start an ad-hoc meeting directly from the Sidebar, which launches web conference controls without having to enter your ReadyTalk credentials
  • Schedule a one-time or recurring meeting that includes all of the information that your participants need to join
  • Include our Dial-Me feature which allows meeting participants to have the audio conference call them directly, and then drop them into the web meeting as well
