ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook Now Syncs with Salesforce

Our customers use several tools throughout their day to make their jobs easier and more efficient. Many of our users utilize Microsoft Outlook to keep track of their calendar and schedule meetings with colleagues, sales prospects, or current customers.   More often than not, that meeting data is not confined to Outlook, especially for a salesperson. The data needs to be updated in their CRM, like salesforce.com, to keep track of tasks and activity associated with a lead. 

The ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook makes it easy to send out an invitation with all the information a participant needs to join your meeting, including a link that enables the audio conference to call them directly.  While it’s easy for the organizer to include all of this information with just a few clicks, it’s still a very manual task to update demo or meeting information in salesforce.com.  Until now.

The latest update to the ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook automatically passes the meeting details, including registration and attendance data, into salesforce.com with just a few clicks. And even better, the invitation still includes all of the information a participant needs to join the meeting, including the ‘Call my Phone’ link, while automating the transfer of meeting information into salesforce.com.

Here’s how it works:

  • In your settings, make sure your default meeting type is set to ‘Scheduled’

Default Setting: Scheduled Meetings

  • Send the invitation for your online meeting with the ReadyTalk Scheduler for Outlook

Schedule the Meeting

  • Using the ReadyTalk for Salesforce integration, import the meeting (or import multiple meetings at one time) to sync registration and attendance data

Import Meeting into Salesforce

Boom. Done. Move on to the next task as hand.
