Spicegirl Heating it Up with Spiceworks

ReadyTalk and SpiceworksRecently, ReadyTalk signed up for Spiceworks – and no, this is not a habanero pepper eating competition! Spiceworks is essentially a social network for the information technology professional world. Think Facebook, but it revolves around the IT industry. Spiceworks is made up of over two million users called “Spiceheads” who utilize the platform to chat about the latest and greatest software, product reviews, ratings, how-tos as well as random off-topic subjects. Personally, I refer to myself as a “Spicegirl.”

ReadyTalk is using Spiceworks to engage with and understand what our IT customers potentially want and what they look for in terms of audio and web conferencing technology development, etc. I am anything but a technology expert and initially expected Spiceworks to be geek central and something that I couldn’t easily relate to, but after exploring the site, I have found it extremely resourceful and found that even I can fit in.

I have enjoyed utilizing everything that Spiceworks has to offer. There are so many fun groups to join, my favorite being advertising and marketing group. I’ve started discussions asking the Spiceheads questions regarding audio/web conferencing and webinar services, posted industry articles and assessed the feedback and post discussion follow-up and naturally have chimed in and started sports conversations.

Spiceworks has also been helpful whenever I have a helpdesk question or need suggestions about how to function better on my computer. Overall, Spiceworks has been an educational and fun investment for ReadyTalk. We love our customers and learning about what they look for and what we can do to better to fulfill their IT needs.
