It’s been all over the news: a major vulnerability in the encryption technology used across much of the Internet was recently discovered. The vulnerability causing these issues is known as Heartbleed and has impacted nearly a million websites.
The OpenSSL Project announced vulnerability CVE-2014-0160, known as the Heartbleed Bug, on April 7. The complete advisory can be found here: https://www.openssl.org/news/secadv_20140407.txt. OpenSSL is the most popular open source cryptographic library and TLS (transport layer security) implementation used to encrypt traffic on the Internet.
ReadyTalk, like many other websites, utilizes the OpenSSL libraries to secure communication between our servers and our customers’ computers.
At ReadyTalk, we take security seriously and took immediate action to patch the vulnerability in our infrastructure. This step is complete and we are now waiting for a third-party vendor to issue new certificates . Over the next few days we will be deploying these certificates during non-business hours to minimize any disruption to our customers.
We have no reason to believe that your information was ever at risk. However, we highly recommend that you update your ReadyTalk passcode.

After you change your passcode, be sure to update your Connectivity Tools (Outlook, Google Calendar, Salesforce, Quick Launcher and Lync).
